Families United Foster Family and Adoption Agency is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization serving the special needs of foster and adoptive children in the Northern California region.
  • Families United began in 1994. Since that time we have served over 4500 children and certified over 600 foster parents.


  • Families United provides Certified Specialized Family Homes, Social Worker Weekly Home Visits, 24-Hour Emergency Response, Psychological Assessment, Special Activities for the Children, Foster Parent Training, Emancipation Assistance, and Adoption Services.


  • Families United accepts placements for children aged <1 to 17, including emergency placements.


  • We serve several counties including Butte, Glenn, Lake, Placer, Sacramento, Solano, Tehama, Yolo and Yuba.
